⚡️Problem
After a pretty brutal but necessary organisation restructure that resulted in a reduction in designer headcount of 33%, the design team spirit and engagement was at an all-time low.
💡Approach
Leveraging a combination of leadership theory, change management, positive psychology, organisational design and management consulting methods to support and enable effective change in teams, we launched a 3 day online (due to COVID-19) design summit that brought the team together.
The objective was to realign the design team on their purpose, the organisation’s mission and vision, and how to move forward effectively. This was also an opportunity to socialise, re-familiarise themselves, and celebrate their work and each other.
Each day had a specific theme for content:
Day 1 – RE:FLECT
Day 2 – RE:FRAME
Day 3 – RE:START

🎯 Outcomes
Increased our Design Team’s engagement score to 13 basis points above the rest of the orgasnisation, even after a major restructure that saw many team members get made redundant.
